My Five-Minute Full Body Warm Up

You’ve heard about how important a proper warm up is to your workout. Not only will it prepare you to perform your workout better, it will also reduce your chances of getting hurt.

I love this full body warm up. It feels so good I even do it on my days out of the gym when I just need to move and stretch a little and get embodied.

This warm up is comprised of all dynamic stretches - stretches that you move in and out of (versus static stretches). Dynamic stretched are better than static at preparing your body for movement by increasing blood flow and muscle and connective tissue elasticity, so you can get the most out of your workout.
